1. Summary

"Train to Busan" is a zombie thriller movie that takes place in South Korea. The story follows a divorced fund manager named Seok-woo, who lives with his young daughter Soo-an in Seoul.

One day, Seok-woo reluctantly agrees to take Soo-an on a train ride to Busan to see her mother, who is celebrating her birthday. As the train departs, an infected passenger boards and turns into a zombie, attacking and infecting other passengers.

Seok-woo, Soo-an, and a group of other survivors must fight their way through the infected passengers on the train, trying to make their way to the front of the train where they hope to find safety. The passengers must overcome their fears and work together to fight off the zombies, while also dealing with conflicting personalities and hidden agendas among themselves.

As the train speeds towards Busan, the survivors face increasingly dangerous situations, including train derailments and overrun train stations, all while trying to survive the zombie outbreak and reach their destination.

The film is a tense and action-packed thriller, with well-choreographed action scenes, strong character development, and an emotional storyline. It explores themes of family, sacrifice, and humanity in the face of a catastrophic event.

2. Characters

Seok-woo: He is a workaholic fund manager who is initially distant and cold towards his daughter. However, as the story progresses, he becomes more protective of Soo-an and begins to show his heroic side.

Soo-an: She is Seok-woo's young daughter who is determined to see her mother in Busan. Soo-an is kind-hearted and innocent, but also courageous and resourceful when needed.

Sang-hwa: He is a burly working-class man who is traveling with his pregnant wife. Sang-hwa is brave, loyal, and fiercely protective of his wife and the other passengers.

Yong-suk: He is a selfish and cowardly businessman who prioritizes his own survival over the safety of others. Yong-suk is willing to sacrifice other passengers to save himself, making him one of the primary antagonists of the film.

Seong-kyeong: She is a pregnant woman traveling alone who initially comes across as timid and vulnerable. However, Seong-kyeong proves herself to be strong and resourceful, becoming an important member of the survivor group.

The film does a great job of developing these characters and making them feel like real people with their own motivations, flaws, and strengths. The dynamics between the characters are also well-written, with conflicts and alliances forming throughout the film.

3. Point of view

"Train to Busan" is a tense and thrilling zombie film that has been praised for its excellent direction, gripping storyline, and strong character development. The film takes the classic zombie trope and puts a fresh spin on it by setting the action on a high-speed train, which creates a claustrophobic and intense atmosphere.

The film's characters are well-drawn and provide a range of personalities and motivations that keep the story engaging. There are moments of heart-wrenching drama and genuine emotion, which add depth to the characters and give the story weight.

When watching "Train to Busan," it's worth focusing on the well-executed action scenes, which are intense and visually impressive. The film also has a strong sense of pacing, which keeps the tension high throughout the runtime. The train setting is also an essential part of the story, so it's worth paying attention to the train's layout and how it affects the characters' movements.
